Car Accident – breathalyzer – not arrested?
Help! I got into an accident after having been drinking (I know, I know …). The officer gave me a breathalizer at the scene and opened a .08, but let me go. Question: If I am found to be "upset" but was not arrested, it is possible get an appointment in the email later? If so, what be the charge? Please do not attack, nobody can beat me up worse than what I'm doing myself now. It was a HUGE wakeup call.
You were right on the line, so is the officer decided to be nice to you. Is likely to indicate the level of alcohol in the police report, so as not face criminal sanctions, the fact is that for civil use. It will be used as proof of fault in the accident and so may affect your insurance rates.
