Should i take new laptop battery out of my laptop while its running off the main wall power ?
I have heard that if by useing/running my laptop off the main power it will run down my battery life.
so should i take out the battery if i am running off the main wall power ?
nope, you dont have to keep removing the battery, while using the laptop on AC power. this does not reduce the battery life.
however, incase, if most of the time the laptop is running on AC power only, then ensure that you pwerform "Battery Calibration" once in a week. this could improve the laptop battery life.
battery calibration is nothing but, charging the battery 100%, then disconnect the power adapter and use the laptop only on battery (DC power) until the battery drains completely. when the battery drains off completely, the laptop will enter in to Hibernation mode. later, you can connect the AC adapter and recharge the battery once again.
apart from this, laptop battery life is very short. after 8 - 12 months (avg) of usage, the battery back up reduces. this is common problem in laptop batteries.
