JVC's LT26DE1BJ DVR TV is attractively designed and can record up to 160GB of television viewing. Measuring 660mm x 489mm x 279mm, this HDD TV has 1366 pixels x 768 pixels display resolution and a 26" screen.
Dynamic contrast ratio is 25,000:1 for deep blacks, and picture quality is enhanced by the new JVC DynaPix Picture Engine that reduces noise and improves the colour palette using an innovative high-speed processor.
Three HDMI sockets are available for networking to Sky HD, cable HD, game consoles, etc., along with two SCART connections, Component video, a headphone jack, S-Video socket, and composite video. The special feature of this harddrive TV is the built-in personal video recorder (PVR) that eliminates the need for an external box.
Using the video recorder is very simple compared to external recorders. With this hard drive TV everything is controlled with the Remote Control and the TV guide menu with which you can schedule all your program recording. You simply select which shows you like on the menu and choose how many epidoses or which particular episodes you want to record, since programs tends to show at the same time every week.
By selecting Playlist on your remote control, you bring up a listing of your previously recorded shows from which you can easily click on a program for viewing or editing. You can record dual channels at the same time, while watching on a third channel, using this DVR television's two digital tuners and one analogue tuner. The bottom speakers produce good performance on heavy bass sounds with Hyper Sound enhancement.

PVR/DVD recorder with twin tuner?
I am looking for a single PVR/DVD recorder which can:
-Record one channel while watching another (is it called twin tuner?)
-Record to hard drive with EPG and series link if possible
-Record to DVD and playback movie DVDs
Does such a simple machine exist? I dont want to subscribe to Sky.
All I want is the same functionality I had from my VHS machine in 1982!!

Yes it is called a twin tuner you also want one with a built in digital/freeview receiver. I don't think you can buy a pvr and dvd recorder with a twin tuner and If you can it would be expensive. I suggest getting a twin tuner PVR with a least 80GB harddrive (approx £100) and a DVD RECORDER (approx £80). You can always link the PVR to the DVD recorder to transfer programmes recorded on the harddrive to dvd. Just remeber to buy both with freeview built in so your ready for digital switch over
