What could i use to get a broken screw out of my guitar ?
i bought this thing for my guitar so that the strap wont fall out any more and as i was removing the screw from the strap button and i messed up so now the screw from the guitar isn't like + shaped but now O shaped so i cant fit a screw driver in it any more.
You stripped out the phillips head. This is pretty common. If you were able to get the screw out a little before it totally stripped than you may be able to grab it with a pair of vise-grips and slowly twist it out. However, If there is not enough of the screw head protruding from the strap button then you can use an E-Z out which is a device specifically designed to remove stripped screws. Check with your local hardware store for cost and availability.
It may be possible to take a flat head screw driver and a hammer and tap a slot into the screw deep enough to remove it. This is a very tricky procedure and I do not recommend it.
Your best bet may be to take the guitar to a local shop and let them do it for you. They can then install the strap lock for you.
