How to get a 256 color video driver?

I want to play this old cd rom. It's from Windows 95. It's my old computer game, anyway, I have a Windows XP computer, and when I tried installing it, it said, error no 256 color video driver. So my question is, how do I get one?

There's no such thing as a 256 color video driver.

It seems the game just doesn't know how to communicate with Windows XP/display drivers installed.

You could try changing your color depth before installing the game. Go to the display icon in the control panel, to the settings tab and set the colors to 256.
